TRS / Voluntary Retirement

HISD Savings and Retirement Office unit administers several unique programs within the HISD Benefits department. Employee Support Services also known as the “HISD Savings and Retirement Office”, was created to provide local service to HISD employees on their District Retirement Counseling (for employees who received their retirement acknowledgment document from TRS).

• Direct-contact one-on-one counseling sessions
• Telephone counseling
• Seminars

1. 403(b) & 457 Voluntary Retirement Savings Program (save additional tax deferred dollars toward retirement and after-tax Roth 403b contributions)
2. District Retirement Counseling (for employees who have processed their retirement documents with TRS)
