    The Hamilton "Name That Book Club" is centered on the annual HISD "Name That Book" competition. Several of our members have competed in elementary "Name that Book" competitions.  Our goal is to foster a love of reading and improve reading comprehension skills.
     
     
    We have an extensive reading list for the competition.  Most of our titles are new selections in the Young Adult Fiction genre.  Name that Book Club members read and complete dialectical journals to summarize and synthesize our understanding of the literature.  Our efforts include activities designed to promote understanding of plot elements and characterization.
