Professional Experiences: This is my 23rd year in HISD. I taught 4th and 5th grade at K. Smith and Durham Elementary Schools before becoming a math specialist for the west region (including for Kolter!). Leadership Team at Herod and Briarmeadow as Instructional Coordinator and Math Specialist. Teacher of the Year in 2008 for Longfellow Elementary and Instructional Coach of the Year in 2022 for Briarmeadow. Presenter at a variety of district trainings and in 2019 at the National Council of Supervisor of Mathematics.
Hobbies/Interests: I love to travel near and far with my husband and two children and even sometimes with Walter, our little dog. At home, I love to read and garden – especially growing yummy fruits and veggies to cook with.
