Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos! Bienvenue! 你好 Nǐ hǎo

Departmental classes serve as an excellent bridge to middle school. Like fourth grade, the grade is structured as either a 2-way or 3-way split.  Vocabulary Workshop, speeches, dramatizations, field trips, and current events help fifth graders gain the experiences they will need for middle school. Problem-solving is always the focus in fifth grade math class. The science classes are lab-based, focusing on all aspects of the experimental process. Kolter’s Grassroom, technology, and student research help the students gain a scientific understanding and appreciation of their world. Fifth grade provides the opportunity for increased responsibility and independence for middle school success.
