• What is Grad Lab?



    Grad Lab is a program designed for students who have fallen behind on credit to get caught up, and for students who wish to get ahead or to advance more quickly. Classes are taken during the day on a laptop computer using an online software called APEX Learning. The courses offer rigorous content while allowing students to work at a pace that they feel comfortable.



    Students can also supplement their learning by working from home to advance more quickly. The Grad Lab also has a Graduation Coach who is responsible for helping to keep students on the pathway to on-time graduation. Students have the potential to earn multiple credits in just a semester with many students earning 2 or 3 credits a year while taking Grad Lab courses. All underclassmen Core classes are available as well as some Foreign Language and a few Senior level classes as well. 
     
    All courses available are available in both Credit Recovery and Original Credit versions.  
     
    STAAR tested students may NOT take a course in Algebra 1, Biology, English 1, English 2, or US History for Original Credit.

  • Orientation Videos


    View the attached Power Point.  It contains useful information you will need to be sucessful in Grad Lab in the online software.  Before beginning the online course watch the videos linked in the Power Point and take notes as needed.  There are also several slides that contain other valuable information.  You will be required to take a quiz before you are permitted to progress to Unit 2 over the content contained in this video.  You must make an 80% to be permitted access to Unit 2 of your course.
