• Academics

  • HISD schools serve a diverse PreK-12 student population in both traditional and alternative classroom settings. The Academics Office is dedicated to giving every student the best possible education through services and programs designed to meet the needs of all students. The Academics division designs curriculum, implements student programming, supports teacher and school leader development, and designs student and parent engagement programming.

As our community copes with COVID-19, Houston ISD is committed to providing students with instructional materials and resources to continue learning at home. Resources include a combination of online e-texts, digital libraries, handouts, virtual field trips, parent-guided lessons, and independent work.
