Mrs. Schulze
Broadcast Journalism Open House
I hold a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Reading emphasis from Texas A&M University, a master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Texas teaching certificate in journalism. Academic honors include Cum Laude, Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society, and Golden Key International Honour Society.
In addition to managing the library, I teach yearbook and broadcast journalism. I also serve as the campus dyslexia interventionist and the teacher liaison for HISD's Family and Community Engagement (FACE) program.
I have worked as a Texas educator for over 27 years and joined Carnegie in 2017. While I have worked at every grade level within my library career, including three years as a college reference and collection development librarian, I ultimately discovered that my passion lies in working with high school students.
I sponsor the following clubs at CVHS:
Yarn Club
Film Making Club
Arts & Crafts Club
My husband and I have a daughter who attends Baylor University, and we have the cutest Goldendoodle on the planet (Chewy Blue). I enjoy reading, writing, jewelry design/metalsmithing, fitness, and travel.
