I hold a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, a master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Texas at Austin, and a teaching certificate in journalism. In addition to managing the library I teach yearbook (the CRASH) and broadcast journalism (CVTV). I have worked as a Texas educator for over 20 years. While most of my experience has been at the middle school level I also spent three years as an academic librarian in the Dallas County Community College District. I originally thought research might be my future, but ultimately discovered that my passion lies in working with high school students. I joined CVHS in 2017. I also sponsor several clubs at CVHS: Name That Book (HISD), Bookfest Club, Yarn Club & Rhino Press, and serve as the school dyslexia liaison for the district. I enjoy reading, writing, jewelry design, fitness, and travel.
