I am from India and I did my Bachelors in Agriculture. I fell in love with fungi, bacteria, and viruses, which led me to pursue a Master's in Plant Pathology at Oklahoma State University. After that, I took a break to take care of my son who graduated from HAIS in May 2022.

My dream job as an Assistant Plant Pathologist at RiceTec enriched my knowledge and experience of Rice fungal, bacterial, and viral diseases along with nematodes, and mites as pests. During this journey, we were blessed with the second addition to our family and I couldn't do justice to motherhood and my love for pathology.  My love of science and kids guided me toward teaching. 

This will be my 9th year teaching at HAIS. I am blessed with the loving student population, the support of the wonderful administration, and my grade-level team here. I teach Pre-AP and Dual Credit Biology. 

The loves of my life are my boys, plants, and, lately, our pet parakeets.  My conference periods are during lunch and on Tuesdays and Thursdays upon request.
