Hello amazing HAIS students! 

I will be your Practicum in Entrepreneurship Instructor this year, and I am very excited about meeting each and every one of you.  I graduated in Business Administration and continued my education with two master's degrees: International Business and Psychology. I have taught at all grade levels, from University of Houston Victoria to Elementary level. I have worked in international corporations such as Unilever and Black and Decker in the areas of Finance, Marketing and Sales.  As a General Manager, I was responsible for the commercial operation's profit and loss.   

I am from Mexico City and moved to Houston because my husband was transferred by an International Corporation. I have three children and love to travel and get to know all types of cultures. In my spare time, I love to travel, hang out with family and friends, read and bike or walk.

I am sure we will have a great year together!

Practicum in Entrepreneurship Overview:

Major problem areas and potential problem areas for entrepreneurs while demonstrating an understanding of leverage points and constraints. 

Appropriate legal structure, benefits, and drawbacks for different business types.

Funding and all associated costs needed to start a particular business.

The responsibilities businesses have to employees and the community.

For-profit and non-profit business growth and exit strategies.

Complete a project-based research activity to develop critical thinking and creative problem solving.
