I moved to the US when I was a sophomore in high school. Both of my parents were teachers and they went on study abroad when they were young. I believed that traveling can make you see things differently and also learn things you can’t learn from a textbook. I went to Spain, France, Vatican City, Croatia, Italy, Japan, Taiwan and many more to come. I also enjoy traveling with students. Since 2017 I went to Japan, Greece, Scotland, Ireland, China and UCLA with different groups of students. It was so amazing to see all the students’ growth throughout the trip.
I am teaching Chinese II and III this year. I want all my students be engaged, kind, inquisitive and curious about everything they do. Grades aren’t the most important thing in the world. it’s how can you be the best of you to support and inspire our society and everyone around you.
