Classes taught: Pre-AP Biology, Pre-AP Chemistry

Welcome to Carnegie Vanguard High School Science! This year my students will cover topics in Pre-AP Biology and Pre-AP Chemistry.

I am an experienced science educator, having taught courses and administrated K-12 science programs in physics, biology, chemistry, environmental science, anatomy and physiology, and scientific research. My bachelor's degree is in biology with a concentration on biochemistry from the University of Texas-Pan American.

Before teaching, I directed children's and teen departments in public library service. I've also traveled across the country teaching people to play tabletop roleplaying games.

I am the new advisor for the CVHS Environmental Club.

I want to be the teacher who sees our CVHS students for who they are, and encourages them to get where they want to go!
