Welcome to the ELL Department at Lee High School! This is my first year at Lee High School and I am excited to be working with the students at Lee. Our school is home to a global learning community with over 70 different countries represented where students speak over 40 different languages. I'm a product of the HISD magnet school system, attending Wainwright Elementary, Clifton Middle School and Bellaire High School. I'm also a Houston Cougar, receiving my undergraduate degree in History, with a graduate degree in Counseling from Prairie View A & M University. I have over fifteen years of experience in the public education setting having worked with elementary, secondary and post-secondary students. As an educator, and specifically a counselor, I strongly believe we have to serve the holistic needs of our students if they are to succeed academically and this is the approach I implement in serving our learners. I enjoy working with parents and community partners and hope to create meaningful relationships to positively impact our students' learning and life experiences.
