• CSP introduces students to the foundational concepts of computer science and challenges them to explore how computing and technology can impact the world. The  AP Computer Science Principles is designed with the goal of creating leaders in computer science fields and attracting and engaging those who are traditionally underrepresented with essential computing tools and multidisciplinary opportunities.

We will use both CODE.org and Carnegie Mellon University's CS Academy units. Click  link for further info. You will create a coding project (in Python or other language you are familiar and comfortable using) to upload to the College Board as part of your AP CS Principles Exam at the end of the year (usually on first week of May). The other part of the AP Exam will be a 70-item MCQ test.

If you know a bit of computer programming and have a strong understanding of logic, this may be a bit low for you. You may want to do the CS1 HAdv (Honors Advance) instead.
