STUDENT UNIFORM POLICY

2024-2025

The safety of students and staff in mind was the main factor in designing the WHS Student Uniform Policy.  We dress to identify one another as members of the Wisdom Team readily.  All WHS students must follow the Student Uniform Policy.   Wisdom High School will not take Student Uniform Policy violations lightly and will have students correct them immediately.   A student who refuses to comply will be subject to further disciplinary action as outlined in the Houston ISD Student Code of Conduct, which may include suspension or other serious consequences. 

Outerwear

Jackets are allowed in the building, but a school polo must be worn underneath and always visible.  This ensures that the school uniform is still visible and identifiable even with outerwear.  Hoodies are prohibited. 

Sweatshirts & Sweaters

Students may wear a Wisdom High School sweatshirt 

Shirts

Students must wear a solid gray or white or Wisdom gold polo.  Students may wear college/university shirts on Wednesday and Wisdom t-shirts on Friday. 

Pants

Students may wear khaki (tan) or blue jeans.  No holes are allowed.  Shorts, skirts/dresses, athletic pants, sweatpants, leggings, joggers, or pajama pants are prohibited. 

ID Badges

Student ID badges or temporary Student ID badges must always be visible. Students may purchase a replacement ID for $5.00 during their lunch. 

General

All clothing and accessories must be school-appropriate.  No items referencing alcohol, drugs, sex, guns/violence, hate. Discrimination or the use of vulgar language is not permitted.  Non-religious headwear (hats, headwraps, bonnets, etc.) or sunglasses may not be worn inside the building.  Proper hygiene and grooming are required for all students.
