Course description: The AP Psychology course is equivalent to an introductory college-level psychology course. Assignments and assessments will prepare them for the AP Exam on May 8th as well as deepen the students’ understanding of themselves, their communities and the world we live in.
The AP Psychology course introduces students to the systematic and scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. While considering the studies that have shaped the field, students explore and apply psychological theories, key concepts, and phenomena associated with major units of study, including biological bases of behavior, cognition, development, learning, social psychology, personality, and mental and physical health. Throughout the course, students apply psychological concepts and employ psychological research methods and data interpretation to evaluate claims, consider evidence, and effectively communicate ideas.

Course content is determined by College Board and all areas of content will be covered in class. Each student must register with College Board https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-psychology The student will only be registered for the AP Exam through their registration with the College Board website, so it is essential that the student complete this registration immediately. Through this website, the student will have access to additional resources and practice published by College Board.
