Greetings!
As principal, it is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to our website for Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA).
We are thrilled to be celebrating our 51st year of excellence in the arts and academics at HSPVA! We continue to celebrate what makes us one of the nation's most prestigious high schools: our proud heritage, dedicated staff, successful alumni, supportive parents, and, most importantly, our gifted and talented students. We are thrilled with our new state of the art five-story building in downtown Houston, only blocks from the prestigious Theatre District! The design and construction journeys from 2016-2019 were amazing as we worked with architects from Gensler and our contractors from McCarthy Building Companies. I am most excited about watching our students return face-to-face to continue the work of raising the level of art and performance in our beautiful building.
Laptop checkout starts Wednesday, Aug 17. If paying on SchoolPay, be sure to print the receipt, or save a screenshot. The Laptop Loan Agreement must be signed by both student and parent!
The HSPVA Summer Reading link is live! Click here to find out about this honored tradition of over a decade!
Study an ancient reptile with a 100-million-year history. Protect critical ecosystems. Walk beneath lush rainforest canopies and learn about the immense biodiversity of tropical flora and fauna. On EPI's Sea Turtle Ecology Program, you'll share ideas and experiences with local Costa Rican students and work side by side with researchers endeavoring to protect the leatherback sea turtle.
We are so excited to announce the 2023 Spring Tour! We’ll be travelling to Germany, Italy & France. Bring your friends and join us for the most incredible experience of your PVA career!
