The Children at Risk organization has given Field Elementary a Gold Ribbon Award . The organization has rated us as an “A-“ school for the second year in a roll (2013-2015) and we are in the top 20% of Houston area schools and the top 15% in the state. We are one of five elementary schools in the greater Houston area to receive this award. The award is given to the top elementary schools that house a high concentration of economically disadvantaged students.
Welcome to our web page. We are a small elementary school located in the Heights. We presently serve five hundred and seventeen students from prekindergarten through fifth grade. For the last two years we have been awarded the Gold Ribbon Award by Children at Risk and recognized by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a high performing reward school. Last year we had over 90% of our students that passed the STAAR Reading and over 90% would have passed STAAR Math if scored. We received four out of five possible distinctions from TEA for our STAAR performance.
