Paul W. Horn Elementary
A Magnet Academy
In June 2010, construction started on the new school building for Horn Academy. The new school building, designed by English + Associates Architects, was built on the field behind the old school. On the last day of the 2010-2011 school year, all the boxes were moved to the new building in preparation for the demolition of the old school buildings. In August 2011 faculty and staff were able to move into the new building for the start of the 2011-2012 school year. Drymalla Construction company finished the building so that we could start the new school year in the new school! Horn PTO help to raise funds to upgrade the playgrounds and fencing. The school year of 2012-2013 will be our second year in the new building.
Horn Academy is Texas Education Agency (TEA) Exemplary School and a Houston Independent School District Exemplary School.
