In using the Unique curriculum, we will loosely follow the monthly sequence which defines the lesson numbers we will work on for that week, differentiated by student ability (level 1 - verbal and/or physical prompting/prerequisite activities/global ideas, level 2 - less reliance on prompting/more independent work/focused more on independent thought, and level 3 - almost total independence and less repetition/more executive functioning). This sequence will not change. What will change is the specific month's lesson content. In a SLL class, sometimes circumstances arise which require a redirection in the work or a change in plans (CBI trips, field trips, STAAR test practice, etc...). With that being said, all 30 lessons during the month will be covered (see blue links below). We will also be utilizing Kahoot! classroom surveys, Smart Exchange activities/interactive games and Starfall.com activities and lessons.Discovery Education videos and lessons will also be imbedded as extension activities within the existing Unique curriculum to enhance the students' knowledge about particular subjects.
