COVID-19 testing update
Effective Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, the 16 Next Level Urgent Care Centers contracted through HISD will reinstate the $20 visit fee for COVID-19 testing for members enrolled in the HISD medical plan. Please note that Select Plan members will not be affected. Free COVID-19 testing is currently available at the two HISD Health and Wellness Centers located at the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center and Attucks Middle School.
As a reminder, members enrolled in the HISD medical plan may obtain free COVID-19 testing through their medical providers, including at participating pharmacies. It is recommended that they confirm the COVID-19 testing guidelines for each provider, as they may have different criteria. Please also note that Kelsey-Seybold ACO provides free COVID-19 testing for members who are symptomatic. Campus-based staff is encouraged to utilize campus-based testing through Fulgent by visiting the HISD Health Alerts website.
As a part of available area testing, a testing site operated by Curative is located at Delmar Stadium. Appointments are required to test at Delmar; make an appointment by visiting Curative.com or calling 1-888-702-9042. There is also a testing site at Butler Stadium operated by United Memorial Medical Center; appointments are not required but can be made by calling 1-866-333-2684.
