• Visual Art

    Mandatory auditions will be handled via ACCEPTD after you have submitted your application.
    You will be able to upload the required pieces via the platform upon receipt of an email from Arlice Young. 

    Audition Requirements: 

    ***Phase III Applicants (if you applied between March 11 and August 2022) will only do Part 1 of the Audition Requirements outlined below unless requested otherwise. ***

    Part 1: 

    Please upload the following...

    • A portfolio* of at least 10 completed pieces. Pictures of your work are sufficient. Please make sure the pictures of your artwork are very clear and taken in good lighting. 
    • A reflective piece of at least 250 words answering the following: 
      • Why do you want to be part of the Visual Art Magnet Program at Westbury?
      • This should be in a Word Document using the 12pt, Times New Roman font. 

    *Your portfolio is of great importance to show the Visual Art faculty your abilities and interest area(s).


    Part 2 - Call Back (only upon invitation)

    You will virtually meet a Visual Art instructor to be presented with a model of which you will do a live drawing during your scheduled time. You should have blank paper, a pencil, and any other dry media ready to use for this portion of the audition.  


    Call Back Session Length:

    30 minutes
