2020 Medical Plans
Beginning January 1, 2020, we are returning to Aetna as our medical plan administrator. Below are brief summaries for each of the plan options and networks we will have available, effective Jan. 1, 2020.
Kelsey Accountable Care Organization (ACO)
KelseyCare is an ACO that provides a team approach to health care. This team of doctors helps to coordinates services, provides quality care, and shares information so they can easily identify gaps in care and address them quickly. You may see a specialist in the Kelsey ACO at any time as referrals are not necessary.
Memorial Hermann Account Care Organization (ACO)
Memorial Hermann’s ACO is also a network of doctors and medical providers that share information across the Memorial Hermann system to provide care to covered members and their covered family members. This means everyone you see in the Memorial Hermann system is familiar with your treatment, needs, and goals, as well as your medical history. You may see a specialist in the Memorial Hermann ACO at any time as referrals are not necessary.
Texas Medical Neighborhood plans
These are some of Aetna’s broad networks that provide more flexibility to members. You will need to elect a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or one in your zip code will be selected for you. You may see a specialist in the Texas Medical Neighborhood plans without a referral but selecting a PCP will allow a medical professional to coordinator your care.
Kelsey Select Accountable Care Organization (ACO)
This plan is the same as the Kelsey ACO described above, but it is designed for employees who earn $29,120 or less in annual base salary.
