• Dear Westbury Class of 2016:

Congratulations on your successes thus far! My name is Eltoncia Bradley and I will serve as your class advisor! I am thrilled to work with you this year and hope that you take the opportunity to get involved and make this year your best year! Student Council and Class Officers have worked diligently to ensure that your ideas are considered and that changes to improve your overall senior experience are taking place. While you have elected your classmates to represent you, I encourage you to get involved. In addition to attending regularly schedule meetings that are open to the student body, you also have the opportunity to participate in activities and fundraisers designed to promote a positive school culture as well as raise funds for senior class activities.  While the majority of monies collected through fundraisers will provide financial relief toward senior dues, a portion of all fundraising proceeds will go towards school-wide activities. As your senior year quickly approaches, there are a few things to keep in mind:

    ·         Field trips that occur during normal school hours must adhere to district policy (free to the entire class, have a written curriculum and have enough parent volunteers to chaperone the event.).

    ·         Senior Parent organization must plan and organize senior activities that take place outside of normal school hours.  Westbury’s Business Office may provide assistance. However, the primary responsibility of this endeavor is the parent organization.

    ·         Off-campus group activities require a minimum number of participants and chaperones. All parents volunteering must complete a VIP form.

    ·         The Senior Fees & Dues form outlines items and activities designed specifically for your class. Items are al la cart and purchase and/or participation is at the discretion of the student and parent.

    ·

More information concerning fundraisers and senior activities will be available upon your return to school. Again, it is truly a pleasure to serve as your class advisor. See you in August‼!

    Sincerely,

    Eltoncia Bradley
