• On behalf of the Mayor’s Office and the HISD, we are pleased to host a delegation from Beijing's Tongzhou district on October 23, 2013. After heaing about the warm welcome received by their neighbors in Haidian, they have requested to visit a few of HISD schools this week, for both administrative visits and school observation. 

    Tongzhou is a newly developing area of Beijing. Unlike Haidian, it is not currently especially renowned as an education zone.
    But due to its incredible growth in the last decade (almost doubling in population), it faces greater pressures to provide high quality education to its students. The delegation was very impressed with what our students can achieve within such a short period of time being immersed in a language and cultural rich environment. This recognition is not possible without the collaboration between our staff and parents!
