Hello my name is Steve Ibarra and I will be one the new teachers at Mandarin Immersion Magnet School this year. I will be teaching ELA and look forward to meeting the students and parents this year. I have taught 17 years at a small private school where I taught and coached, but this is my first year in a public school setting and looking forward to the  change.

I graduated from the Letourneau University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and have continued that field finishing up my Masters this fall at the end of the year.

I grew up in Houston my whole life and raise 3 teenage boys here in this culturally diverse, entertainment venue and sports town in this extremely hot city. I love watching sports and playing them especially golf.
