Nihao！I am very excited to join the MIMS family. This year I will be teaching Beginning and Advanced Mandarin Reading for 6th and 7th graders.

I was born and raised in Tianjin, China. I came to the United States in 2012. In May 2015, I graduated from THE Ohio State University with a M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and a M.Ed. degree in Foreign Language Education. After graduation, I taught secondary school Mandarin Chinese for 4 years in Columbus, Ohio. In the meantime, I was hornored to serve as the president of Ohio Association of Teachers of Chinese (OATC) from 2018 to 2019. 

I live in Katy with my husband and our 9-year-old Ragdoll cat “GuanTou” (which means “canned food” in Chinese!). Besides teaching, I love traveling, music, interior designing, and discovering new places for shopping and food.
