Demonstration Day

• Demo day is an opportunity to
• Collaborate with peers on taking a pre-planned lesson and making it your own
• Practice the instructional portion of the model
• Use feedback from peers to improve your planning
• Teachers teach as you would any class
• Attendees assume most students are going to follow teacher's instruction - do not go overboard to be silly or "act" like students with over the top behavior
• Max 15 "students" or "attendees"
• Rotation Schedule
• Presenting Teachers
• Deliver two lessons
• Visit one lesson
• Teacher Apprentices and Learning Coaches have been assigned teachers for demo day
• Demo Day Protocol (Teacher attendees - please take 3 before leaving)
• Teacher will teach first 45 minutes
• 10 minute DOL and grade
• 5 minutes to complete Love/Wonder About
• 5 minute share out "Love it"
• 5 minute share out "wonder about"
• 5 minute for teacher to reply on adjustments
