Dear Parents and Students,

It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the U.S. and AP History teacher for the upcoming school year at Jack Yates High School. I am honored to have the opportunity to embark on this educational journey with you all, and I look forward to a year filled with growth, discovery, and engaging learning experiences. I have been a teacher for 9 years and hold a BA in History, Sociology, and Education from Stephen F Austin University. Our goal for this year is to enrich the lives of all students here at Jack Yates and prepare them academically for the challenges of our ever changing world. It is my expectation that all students come with a positive mindset and are willing to push themselves to greatness. I look forward to getting to know all of you as the school year progresses.
