• PERSHING VISUAL ARTS AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

    We look forward to meeting with you on your scheduled in-person audition date. Our audition consists of three sections: Portfolio, Interview, and Drawing. All supplies will be provided during the audition. Please remember to bring in your personal art portfolio consisting of 3- 5 2d artworks.  All directions for each requirement must be followed. Also, a rubric will be utilized to score each applicant, which is posted below.

    PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS

    A minimum of three  2d drawings, paintings or a combination of both

    No anime or cartoon character drawings will be accepted towards minimal art pieces

    INTERVIEW

    Students will be asked various questions by the art teachers   and to fill the student response form with their drawing portion of their audition.

    DRAWING ( 2 PARTS)

    Part 1   Students will create a pencil still life drawing of different objects during their audition, exhibiting knowledge of composition, value, technique, and strong direct observation skills. pencil, paper, and still life objects will be provided.

    Part 2   Students will create an imaginative, creature drawing (in pencil) that comes out at night.
