Hello, and welcome! My name is Ms. K. Collins, and I am excited to begin my fourth year of teaching at Yates High School. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Sam Houston State University and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Instructional Design.

In addition to teaching, I work as a freelance nail artist, where I enjoy combining creativity with attention to detail—qualities that I bring into our classroom as well. On a personal note, I am thrilled to share that I am expecting my first child, a journey that adds to my passion for nurturing and growth.

In my classroom, I am dedicated to being a lifelong learner, and I aim to instill that same passion in my students. My teaching philosophy is centered around three key principles: rigor, differentiation, and a loving classroom culture. I believe in challenging my students to reach their highest potential while meeting their individual learning needs, all within a supportive and caring environment.
