Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Eltoncia Bradley and I am excited and honored about the opportunity to work with your child this school year. Nearly eleven years ago, I began my employment with Houston ISD at Westbury as a secretary. While serving in this capacity, I diligently worked to complete my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. Upon completing my degree, I completed my first year of teaching at Houston ISD’s Worthing High School. I was offered and accepted a teaching position at Westbury the following year.
Teaching is my passion. I believe every student has the potential to grow and develop if given the opportunity and motivation. The main goal of my courses is to provide students with basic knowledge of business and marketing fundamentals in a way that would allow the student to implement the strategies in their every day lives. Over the course of this year, we will cover topics ranging including hierarchy of needs, marketing goods and services, money matters, and entrepreneurship, marketing yourself, and employment skills. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.Attendance is a critical component to your student’s success in school. It is extremely important that your child attends class as scheduled every day. However, I do realize that sickness, family emergencies, and doctor’s appointments do occur. If your child is absent for any reason, please refer to my webpage or GradeSpeed for assignment information.
I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note via GradeSpeed, email me at ebradley@houstonisd.org or call me at (713) 723-6015 ext. 364. I will also do my part by responding to emails and maintaining an up-to-date webpage. For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note via GradeSpeed or email (if options available).
I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your child!
Sincerely,
Eltoncia Bradley, MBAWestbury High School
