Bellaire High School - Summer School 2019

  • *Due to construction at Bellaire High School, summer school will be held at Pin Oak Middle School*

    *Transportation is not provided to summer school.



    • Summer School Registration = May 1st - May 17th

    • Mandatory Summer School Orientation = June 4th

    • Orientation will be at Bellaire H.S. in the auditorium at 8:00 am
    • Mandatory Original Credit Health Orientation = attend either May 21st or May 22nd

    • Summer School Dates = June 5th - July 3rd

    • Time = 8:00 am - 2:30 pm

    • STAAR EOC Retesting = June 24th - 27th


    Types of Courses:


    Original Credit

    • Original credit =  you are taking the class for the first time.

    • Meets on campus Mondays through Thursdays. (Exception - Health will be completed online at home)

    • Courses offered:


    Pre-AP Geometry - $260

    Health - $25

    PE - $25 (class)  

    & $20 (uniform)

    Newcomer English




    Credit Recovery    (You may recover credits for up to 2 classes.)


    • Credit recovery = you have taken the class already,  but you did not receive credit due to failing the class or you had too many absences.

    • Hybrid Classes = conducted face to face on campus and online at home. (Exception - SpEd modified courses will take place on campus every day at Pin Oak)

    • Courses offered:


    • You will report to campus on the designated day depending on the course(s) you are taking. If you are enrolled in one course, you are required to report to campus once a week. If you are enrolled in two courses, you are required to report to campus twice a week. If sufficient progress is not being made, you will be required to come to campus more frequently as determined by your teacher.

      • Example: If you are only enrolled in World History, you will come to campus on Tuesdays. If you are enrolled in English 2 and Chemistry, you will come to campus on Mondays and Thursdays.

    • On the days you are not required to go to campus, you will work independently on your online courses at home.  Quizzes, tests, and various assignments will be submitted online. Teachers will be available virtually via Remind, Google Hangout, Skype, and other resources for any help you may need. Any student who does not have access to Wi-Fi at home can check with Ms. Mulet in the library for more information about Wi-Fi hotspots/access.

    • Final exams will take place on campus the week of June 24th - 27th.
