• Academic Programming at MES / NWEA MAP Testing

     

    NWEA's MAP Growth Assessment is an assessment tool that effectively measures academic achievement and progress in certain K-12 subjects. It provides teachers with accurate, actionable evidence to help inform instructional strategies regardless of how far students are above or below grade level. 

     

    At Bellaire, all 9th and 10th-grade students will take the NWEA MAP Growth assessment in English and Math three times per year.  Students who have not successfully passed their English I, II or Algebra 1 STAAR test will also take the assessment. The first assessment will occur at the beginning of the school year, followed by tests in January and May. Each student's progress will be evaluated.sts in January and May. The progress of each student will be evaluated.
