Technical Theatre includes (but is not limited to): lights, sound, set, costumes, and makeup within a theatrical production. Students may work in one or more of these areas. Important skills taught in technical theatre classes include proper safety guidelines and precautions to take when working with specific instruments. Students will apply skills learned from technical theatre in Theatre Production to work in main-stage and black box productions. In addition, Technical Theatre students may use skills learned in lighting and sound to work in other school shows and performances (i.e. Belles, Choir, E-motions, Pep Rallies, etc.)

We encourage technical theatre students to join our Tech Club to apply skills learned in class and work directly with Theatre Production students.
