• Guitar 1: First year — Objectives:
     
     
    (1) To develop basic reading skills for melodies (treble clef, some sharps/flats, all first position notes)
    (2) To develop understanding of basic rhythms (whole, half, quarter and eighth notes and rests)
    (3) To be able to play and alternate 15 to 20 basic chords with simple strumming accompaniment patterns
    (4) To be able to interpret written music and transform it into live music performance
