Guitar Program Faculty
Mr. Edward Grigassy, originally from Austin, Texas, earned his Master of Music degree in Guitar from New England Conservatory (1998). After getting this degree in Boston, at the invitation of Mr. Moore, he began teaching hourly at Bellaire. Over the next several years, Mr. Grigassy thoughtfully encouraged the program to expand from the original 4 class hours to 14 per day (as of 2013). A professional local musician with a love for performance and teaching, Mr. Grigassy tries to inspire students, by teaching, coaching and organizing school concerts and district-wide events. Mr. Grigassy currently teaches five guitar classes per day.
Ms. Amy McIntyre
Guitar Instructor, Fine Arts ChairMs. Amy McIntyre is a dedicated educator and leader. She teaches four guitar classes per day and is the Chair of the Fine Arts Department.Mr. Mark Moore, from Ponca City, Oklahoma, received his Master of Music in Guitar from the University of Texas at Austin (1995). He moved to Houston soon after and established himself as a well-respected professional classical guitarist. He spryly balances an impressive performance career(for example performing with the Houston Grand Opera and the Houston Symphony), while continuing to provide dedicated and focused attention to student learning and achievement. Mr. Moore teaches five guitar classes per day.
