Meyerland PVA Magnet Program

  • Welcome to Meyerland Performing and Visual Arts Middle School (MPVA), the premier middle school magnet for the performing and visual arts in HISD since 1985. We specialize in:

    • Art
    • Band (Beg,Iint, Adv & Jazz)
    • Broadcast journalism
    • Choral Music
    • Creative writing
    • Dance
    • Guitar
    • Mariachi
    • Orchestra
    • Piano
    • Theatre

    All departments have a storied history full of city, state, and national honors, as well as producing a diverse and accomplished group of artists and scholars who enrich our world. We offer intense training to our students who can specialize in any of the eleven areas above. Our young learners, after three years of being pushed to explore their potential by skilled directors and conductors, are routinely accepted to the most prestigious and decorated high schools in the Houston area and beyond.
