Welcome to the Lanier Swim Team!

Competitive swimming is a UIL sport; therefore, it is only open to 7^th and 8^th grade students.

Due to the limited space available, the roster will be limited to 50 total swimmers on the team (including both 7^th and 8^th grade boys and girls).

HISD Athlete Physical Form can be accessed from the Lanier School Website, Activities, Athletics tabs.

YOU MUST HAVE THIS FORM COMPLETED BY A DOCTOR (personal MD, Medi-Clinic, or wherever school physicals are given), upload it to www.registermyathlete.com

What to wear to try out:

1. Swimsuit:

Girls:  a one-piece swimsuit that is not revealing (no strapless, no high cut, etc.)

Boys:  mid-thigh suit (no short speedo suits).

2. Goggles: Competitive swim goggles 

   (Swimmers will also need two pairs of competition swim goggles, available at Amazon.com or any sports retailer). 

3. Towel (with your name on it)

Students will be given time to change into their suits after school; they should go to the locker room in the gym to change, then report to the pool.  Bring a bag to keep school clothing together after changing.
