Welcome to Mr. Mann's Class Webpage
-
I grew up an Oklahoman (Go Pokes!), and graduated from Northeastern State University in 1996. From 2003-2008 I taught 4th and 5th grades in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In 2008 I moved to Prosper, TX. While there I owned a restaurant in Frisco and enjoyed watching FC Dallas soccer. Last school year I had the opportunity to go back into teaching at Roach Middle School, in Frisco. At Roach I taught 7th & 8th grade Video Production & Broadcast. This summer my family moved from DFW to Houston and have enjoyed being near the Gulf Coast. HISD has been great, and I look forward to working with my students in Technology Applications.

This year in Technology Applications we'll spend most of our time working with the code.org curriculum, CS Discoveries. This is an introductory course that empowers students to engage with Computer Science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem solving, and fun. You can find out more about CS Discoveries here.
In addition to code.org we'll also spend time working with Microsoft Office products such as Excel & Powerpoint. During the second semester we'll also spend time working with video production.
