    The objective of this course is to expose the student to the Spanish language.     Students will develop their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in Spanish though intensive activities.Students will also be exposed to cultures of Spanish speaking countries.

    My name is Elena Cantú. This is my 19th year teaching at Lanier. My husband and
     I came and met at     Lanier Middle School in 7th grade. I attended Lamar High
     School     and The University of Texas at Austin. I majored in Spanish and got my
     teacher certification there as well. I studied at La Universidad de Salamanca,
         Spain were I worked on my Masters in Spanish Language and Culture. I have
     been married for 14 years and have 2 boys and a girl. My husband and I have been
     to     Spain, Belgium, Germany, England, France, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.
