Texas history is divided into teaching units. These units will explore major concepts, learning specific content, improving critical thinking skills, develop working collaborations, providing opportunities for creativity, and practicing communication strategies. Each unit will have a variety of assignments, projects, quizzes, and a test\performance component. Majority of units will require a spiral notebook for notes, assignments and recorded grades. An overview with objectives for each unit are given with a weekly update for each unit. Most handouts, homework, and media resources will be included for each unit page. Units would include technology integration for an 21st century approach to education. Updated notebook table of contents will be uploaded at various times for each unit. The spiral notebook will count as two grades; classwork and homework.
