    Plagiarism: We have a ZERO tolerance policy for plagiarism at Lanier. It is defined as taking credit for work that is not original to the student, cut/pasting directly from websites without citing the source properly, or blatantly copying work from another classmate. The penalty for taking credit for someone else's words on the page (besides embarrassing yourself and your family) is receiving a "0" on the assignment, having to write a one page paper on the perils of plagiarism, and having it noted in your permanent file.
