My name is Debra Hunter, and I'm excited about this school year. I've taught for over a decade, and enjoy the challenge of working with students. Sixth grade is a pivotal year for students. Expectations may be greater for them! They're expected to be more independent.
My expectations for my students are to learn study skills and organizational skills that will help them be successful within the classroom. I will serve as a catalyst to help students create habits that will serve them positively. Self-advocacy will be focused on this year. Sixth graders must understand how to help themselves be successful within the classroom.
