CARNEGIE VANGUARD HS

  • Carnegie Vanguard High School was originally built in 1963. The school’s mission is “to provide a unique and challenging learning environment to prepare the diverse gifted and talented population of Houston Independent School District for leadership in a global society.”
     
    Scope of Work
    New school to accommodate 600 students on property adjacent to Gregory-Lincoln Education Center. A parking deck and field improvements were added to the scope through an interlocal agreement with the City of Houston. Build-out of the existing Settegast Building for fine arts classrooms and a theater was added through Trustee allocations.
     
    Project Status
    The new school opened for the 2012-2013 academic year. The Settegast fine arts building opened for the 2013-2014 academic year.
