DYAD Travel Opportunity
As part of HISD’s DYAD program, certain seventh- and eighth-grade students are eligible to participate in exciting field trips at no cost to their families.
For this school year, our eligible eighth graders will have the opportunity to travel to Japan for five days. Eligible seventh graders will have the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., for three days. To be eligible, students must have no school suspensions and no more than six absences.
The trips will take place during the last week in May through June. Students from our school and the other five NES middle schools will travel together, with staff chaperones from each campus. There may be more than one trip per location and grade level, depending on how many students sign up to go.
HISD will fully cover the cost of these trips, including passport application fees for eighth-grade students traveling to Japan who do not already have that documentation.
- Register for the Seventh-Grade Washington, D.C. Trip by February 2 (Interest form will be communicated in January)
