• 9th Grade Course Selection

     

    We have a few online options for you to complete course selection for rising 9th graders.  Before you begin you should download our Course Catalog and our 9th Grade Electives document as you may need to reference both while selecting courses.  You will also need your child's most recent report card as a reference.

     

    Option 1 - Google Form

    You can select courses through our Google Form.  Before you begin you should watch this Instructional Video.  

    Once you are ready to select your courses this link will take you to the Google Form.

    Option 2 - PDF Form

    It may be easier to download and complete the PDF Form.  Before you begin you should watch this instructional video.  BEFORE you complete the form you should download it and save it to your computer.  If the form opens in your web browswer and you type the information using the web browser the information may not save.  When saving the form you should use your child's last name and first initial followed by "9th Grade Course Selection" as the file name.  (ex "Doe J 9th Grade Course Selection")  This will helps us when you return the form via email.

    After you complete and save the form with your child's name and "9th grade course selection" email it to lamarhstexanshisd@gmail.com    

    Option 3 - Print and Scan

    Follow the instructions in Option 2 but instead of completing the PDF you will download this form, print, fill in the information, and then scan (NO PICTURES PLEASE) and email the form to lamarhstexanshisd@gmail.com   The file name should include your child's name and "9th grade course selection".  There are several free apps available that will scan and create PDF’s that can be emailed.  The “Notes” app in iOS will also scan and create a PDF that can be emailed. 

     

     

    10th Grade Course Selection

     

    We have a two options for you to complete course selection for rising 10th graders.  Before you begin you should download our Course Catalog and our Electives document as you may need to reference both while selecting courses.  You will also need your child's most recent report card as a reference.

     

    Option 1 - PDF Form

    Enrollment of New Students

     

    Students Currently Enrolled in HISD

    If your child is currently enrolled in an HISD school, then you will NOT need to complete the enrollment process previously outlined.  We will only require your child’s immunization record.  You can email the record to lamarhstexanshisd@gmail.com.  Pictures will NOT be accepted.  There are several free apps available that will scan and create PDFs that can be emailed.  The “Notes” app in iOS will also scan and create a PDF that can be emailed.  Please include your child’s name, date of birth, and your name in the body of the email.

    OR

    Starting next Friday (5/1) you can leave COPIES of the immunization records in a drop box located in our transit center on Eastside St. If you use the drop box at Lamar, documents should be in an envelope and your child’s name and “immunization records” should be on the envelope.  We ask that you follow Social Distancing protocols if another family is dropping off records at the same time.

     

    If you have recently (last three months) moved and your address in the HISD system is no longer correct, then you will need to email a recent utility bill or lease agreement to Mr. Lozano (rlozano3@houstonisd.org) or Mr. Chenier (achenier@houstonisd.org) to update your address.  The email should include your child’s name and HISD ID number.   

     

    Students NOT Currently Enrolled in HISD

    If you are not currently enrolled in HISD, then we ask that you email Mr. Lozano (rlozano3@houstonisd.org) or Mr. Chenier (achenier@houstonisd.org) to start the process for enrollment through email.  Please include your child’s full name, date of birth, and the grade level s/he will enter in your initial email.
