Swimming - Boys & Girls

The Lamar High School aquatics team is comprised of over 80 girls & boys in grades 9-12. The team has captured a District Championship title for the past 24 seasons while earning as high as a third place finish at the State Swimming & Diving Championships. High school swimming is a winter sport with the season running from Oct-Feb. Athletes are scheduled into either 1st or 5th Period Swimming for both semesters of the school year. Workouts are very demanding and the team practices both before & after school and attends meets on a weekly basis.

Many of the team members are enrolled in IBDP classes and graduate with a high ranking in their class, while maintaining a vigorous practice schedule. Athletes are encouraged to do their best in the classroom while remaining a full-time team participant.

    Natatorium Rules and Regulations

Lamar swimmers & divers are truly student-athletes.

We have varsity and junior varsity squads for both girls & boys. Many team members are involved in other activities at Lamar High School, but team attendance standards must be maintained.

Tryouts are held twice a year (May & August). Athletes with previous experience should call or email for pre-approval from me in order to enroll in the class. All interested students are encouraged to

Email their background information to Coach Lindsey.
