Welcome to Lamar HS Girls Field Hockey!

This club team is partnered with Houston Velocity and open to all students attending Lamar HS. The fall season runs from August to October, practices are after school 3 to 4 days a week and there are several games against other area field hockey teams.  Players can earn 0.5 PE credit for one semester of field hockey.

No player is cut from the program, but there are tryouts for the Varsity squad (those that don't make varsity are on jv).  You must be registered and provide your own equipment (mouthguard, shin guards, stick, water bottle). Equipment can be purchased through the Houston Velocity online shop www.houstonvelocity.com/shop or at Longstreth www.longstreth.com. Turf shoes and/or cleats are recommended.
