Ms. Gurnell was raised in Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Houston, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree with a major in Psychology. She has been teaching for three years, and this is her second year teaching English. In her free time, Ms. Grunell loves to exercise, participate in her book club, and listen to music.

As she starts her first school year at Burbank Middle School, she would like to tell her students that she is excited to get to know each and every one of them!
